Williamson Wins 4 Gold Medals at SkillsUSA States!

Williamson students won four gold and two silver medals at the recent SkillsUSA state championship in Hershey.

Taking first were: Creed Norris 2W4 in Precision Machining; Gideon Cyr 2W3 in Carpentry; Scott Wiltshire 2W3 in Carpentry; and Cameron Wolfe 2W3 in Masonry.

Winning silver were: Nathan Chase 2W3 in Computer Numerical Control Technician, and Ozzy Rims 2W5 in Residential Wiring.

Dan Blair 2W5 competed in Plumbing, but did not place.

Pete Zwolak 0W7, director of construction technology-masonry and SkillsUSA adviser, said “Our guys did great and represented Williamson well, ending up with four gold medals and two silvers. The students that got a gold will be moving on to nationals in Atlanta in June! Then we will see who are the best in the nation.”
