Alumni representing classes spanning 50 years, from 1948 to 1999, gathered on campus on April 18 for the annual Alumni Spring Luncheon.
Spearheaded by Ron Richardson 5W4 and Dick Dunlap 6W5, the traditional gathering was hosted on Williamson’s campus after a 3-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Over 60 alumni and guests enjoyed a tour of the new Wesley Student Center, led by Tim Brown, vice president of operations 0W1, followed by lunch in the Rowan Hall Dining Room.
After lunch, alumni and guests heard from Williamson Association of Alumni president Chris Moran 9W9 on the WAA leadership team and alumni activities, President Michael Rounds gave a brief update on the latest news from the school, and guests enjoyed a humorous presentation by Gordon Douglas 7W6.
The program concluded with a rousing rendition of the alma mater. Alumni and guests were then invited to tour the new Thomas and Agnes Heenan Chapel Mezzanine and visit the College Store for new Williamson items. Special thanks to Tim Burbage, director of food services, for providing a wonderful lunch for all to enjoy.
Alumni are encouraged to come back to campus on Saturday, June 3, for Alumni Day, which will feature a full day of activities including open gym and games in the Wesley Center, an alumni luncheon, shop visits, and an alumni reception and awards presentation to conclude the day.
