Instructor of Business and Finance


Under the supervision of the VP and Dean of Education, the Instructor of Business and Finance is responsible for teaching the business and finance courses that support the six shop curricula, including Introduction to Business; Foremanship and Supervision; Personal Finance; and Applied Accounting.  Instructional duties encompass classroom lecturing, developing and updating curriculum, conducting regular testing and evaluation of student progress, issuing necessary syllabi and course outlines, and supervising student workers in selected campus details.  The Instructor will be expected to serve on selected committees, to attend scheduled meetings and In-Service sessions, to participate in Williamson’s Service Week and clean-up week prior to Commencement and to use the College’s Learning Management System (Canvas).  The Instructor will also be expected to participate in professional development.  The Instructor will teach a minimum of 16 credit hours per semester.  The Instructor should be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).  All faculty assist students in adjusting to the established disciplinary standards and in internalizing the vital moral and ethical values emphasized at Williamson.


An MBA or Master’s degree in an education or business related discipline with at least five years of experience in business or higher education.


Depending on educational qualifications and applicable experience, the annual salary for this full-time, ten-month appointment is in the competitive range with an excellent benefits package.
