Phillies Broadcaster to Speak at Williamson’s 128th Convocation

Join us live below as Ben Davis, a member of the Phillies broadcast team and Delaware County native, gives the keynote talk at 9 AM, in the Clara Schrenk Memorial Chapel, on Wednesday, Sept. 12, when Williamson’s Convocation ushers in the 2018-19 school year.

He previously spent four years as an in-studio baseball analyst for CSN Philly and made occasional appearances on 94.1 WIP’s morning show.

He was selected by the San Diego Padres as the second overall pick in the 1995 draft out of Malvern Prep and went on to have a seven-year (1998-2004) major league career with the Padres (1998-2001), Seattle Mariners (2002-04), and Chicago White Sox (2004). Ben transitioned to pitcher for the final three seasons (2008-10) of his professional career, spent with single-A Sarasota in the Cincinnati Reds organization and the Camden Riversharks of the independent Atlantic League.

At the conclusion of Convocation, student-led tours will be available.
