“Top of the World” Fundraiser a Success

On June 14th & 15th, a record total of seventy-seven people traveled to Tilghman Island, MD for the 5th annual memorial fishing event to honor Lou Schisler. The weather was unusually cool for mid-June but the fishing was red hot! The largest fish was caught by Steve Gallo of Rouse/Chamberlin. His 31 inch (13.5 lb) striper was the largest fish the charter fleet had seen in weeks.

The Thursday night reception included a happy hour, dinner and margarita hour sponsored by Sterling Kitchens, Bank of America and Liberty Propane. In addition to music and fun, Ed and Jon presented a bracelet to Colleen Schisler as a graduation gift. She recently received her degree from Penn State University. The raffle raised over $1,700 while awarding prizes that included sports and concert tickets, golf outings and fishing outings.

The fundraiser easily exceeded last year’s tally of $17,372 and final numbers will be available in the next month or so. Stay tuned for the results.
