Planning Through Giving

Planning ahead is always a good thing, particularly when it comes to financial planning. This is especially true for your tax planning. If you have filed or anticipate filing a 1040 form for the 2006 tax year, you will likely be eligible to take deductions for your qualifying charitable contributions. Now, however, is the time to plan for next year’s taxes. Also, if you have earned a refund from this year’s tax return, what better way to invest a portion of it by making a gift now to The Williamson Free School.

As you know, Williamson was founded as a “free institution,” making possible a remarkable educational experience through full scholarships for each and every student.  Since the School receives no government funding, the availability of these scholarships depends on the generosity of Williamson’s alumni and friends.

Your gift to Williamson may be made online using your credit card at: http://www.williamson.edu/giving/makeagift.htm.  You may also mail your gift to:

Office of Institutional Advancement
The Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades
106 S. New Middletown Rd.
Media, PA 19063

Or, if you have a specific question regarding a contribution of either cash or stock gifts, you may contact Mr. John Schlesinger at the School’s Office of Advancement at (610) 566-1776.

Remember, certain restrictions may apply to your particular tax situation. For more information about tax deductions and charitable contributions, please visit: www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc506.html.
