Katrina: Still Rebuildi ng
More Than 1 Year Later
(2/07) Imagine waking up twelve hundred miles from home in a tent on the floor of a small-town baseball field and working your fingers to the bone for 8 days to help rebuild a community ravaged by deadliest hurricane ever faced by the United States. Well that’s just what 44 Williamson students did earlier this month when they spent their winter break in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, working to rebuild and restore the town which suffered insurmountable damage in the wrath of Hurricane Katrina. (2/07) Forgive me if you’ve heard thi s story before, but it is what drives my feelings for Williamson. In high school, I was told I wasn’t college material. Having failed algebra twice, I certainly had to agree with the guidance counselor. As a matter of fact, I still don’t think I am college material. I am a tradesman; I work with my hands. If I have any gift or talent, it is with my hands, and for this I thank God. (more...)
Staff Changes in Advancement Office
(2/07) The School is sad to announce that Mandi Eckenrode, former Administrative Assistant to John Schlesinger, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, has resigned her position. Although we are sad to see her go, we are very happy for her as she takes on the role of “new mom.” Mandi and her husband, Dion Eckenrode 0W0 are expecting their first child any day now. The Importance of Matching Gifts to Annual Giving at Williamson
(2/07) Among the many benefits offered by employers today are Matching Gift Programs. In order to remain consistent with employees’ interests, many companies match donations made to reputable charities by their employees, and sometimes even spouses. This means they will send Williamson an amount equal to and sometimes greater than your donation to the School. (more...)

Veterans Day Honored at Williamson
(12/06) Williamson staff and students honored veterans near and far with special events on Friday and Saturday, November 10th & 11th. In a Friday chapel service, former Vice President of Plans and Operations, Dennis Dragich, incorporated his farewell to students and staff into a meaningful presentation honoring veterans near and far. He presented the music video, “A Pittance of Time” by Canadian Recording Artist Terry Kelly. (more...)

(12/06) On October 28th, more than 100 Williamson alumni and guests celebrated 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 years as graduates of the nation’s finest trade school. A heartwarming recep tion was followed by dinner, dancing and lots of reminiscing among members of these nine classes. The Class of 8W1 celebrated the highest turnout of the evening with the classes of 6W1 and 6W6 trailing closely behind. (more...)

Fall Sports Finish Strong
(12/06) The Williamson soccer team went undefeated in league play to capture the Eastern State Soccer League title for the first time since 2001! Also during the season head coach Tony Wolski earned his 100th career victory while at Williamson becoming just the 3rd coach in school history to top the 100 win plateau. (more...)
