Williamson Students Set Out For Victory
(4/07) On Wednesday morning, twelve Williamson students left campus to attend the SkillsUSA Pennsylvania 2007 Conference to be held at Lehigh Career and Technical Institute in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania. These students have proven their abilities in both local and district competitions. This is the third and final step on the way to the SkillsUSA National Competition in June. Four Williamson Wrestlers Moving onto NCWA Nationals
(3/07) Four Williamson wrestlers, led by freshman sensation Paul Capriolo, finished in the top six in the National Collegiate Wrestling Association’s East Regional Championships, thereby earning them the opportunity to compete in the NCWA national championship tournament from March 8-10 in Dallas, TX. Joining Capriolo (125 lb.) are fellow freshman Nick Palumbo (125 lb.), and seniors Mike Crain (141 lb.) and Raul Mendoza (285 lb.).
Black Named 1st Team All-American
(3/07) Williamson Freshman Eric Black of Wilmington, Delaware was recently named a United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division II 1st team All-American. The 6’1” combination guard/forward averaged 19.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in leading Williamson to a 14-13 overall record. He becomes the first player in school history to be named a USCAA 1st team All-American.
Williamson Students Prepare Exhibit
for Upcoming Philadelphia Flower Show
(3/07) Williamson’s exhibit in the upcoming Philadelphia Flower Show, “Hortus Conclusus (A Garden Enclosed: Medieval Cloister Garden),” will depict the gardens found in a monastery or convent in medieval times. It will feature a single cloister allée, a covered walkway with Romanesque arches and columns. As with monastery gardens of the time, the exhibit will have an abundance of utilitarian plants that can be used as medicine, dyes, aroma, food, and for beauty. (more...)
