Theme for the 2007-08 School Year
(9/07) Each year, we choose a theme to focus on for the academic year. The themes have all come from either Mr. Williamson’s words or from the Bible. They are designed to identify a characteristic of the life of a Williamson man, and they give us a chance to integrate that character quality into the year’s program in a special way.

Ringing in the New Year
(9/07) With the start of the new School year we are reminded of the many traditions at Williamson. One is the annual Student Phonathon — one of Williamson’s most important and meaningful fund-raising efforts.
This year’s phonathon will begin on October 8, 2007 with students in all class years and shops calling alumni and friends of Williamson to reconnect and to request support for the 2007-08 School year. (more...)
117th Convocation Welcomes Students & Friends
(9/07) To encourage a positive start to the year, The Williamson Free School hosted its 117th Convocation Service on September 18th. This annual event welcomes a spe cial guest speaker who shares a personal and professional message of motivation with Williamson family.
This year, we welcomed guest speaker Frank J. McKee, President of The McKee Group, a Springfield, Delaware County company that has specialized in active adult housing for 30 years. Over the past few years, Mr. McKee has become a significant part of the Williamson family as he plays a major role in many of the community service efforts in which Williamson students have the opportunity to participate. 2007 Homecoming & Reunions Around the Corner
(9/07) Attention Alumni & Friends! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 27, 2007 for WIlliamson's Annual Homecoming and Reunions. Activities are planned throughout the day culminating with Reunion festivities to be held at The Ballrooms at Boothwyn.

Williamson in the Community – A Look Back at 2006-07
(9/07) In keeping with Isaiah Williamson’s original vision of this School, Williamson encourages all students to participate in projects that serve the community. Through these special opportunities, stude nts experience professional and personal fulfillment helping them develop into the “respected members of society” envisioned by the founder.
Projects may lead Williamson students around the corner or around the globe. Earlier this year, 44 Williamson students spent their winter break in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, working to rebuild and restore the town which suffered insurmountable damage in the wrath of Hurricane Katrina (pictured). Later in the year, a group of 14 members of the Williamson family traveled to Paraiso, Dominican Republic to complete construction on the hospital they started on 11 years ago. (more...)
"Top of the World Fundraiser" a Success
(8/07) On June 14th & 15th, a record total of seventy-seven people traveled to Tilghman Island, MD for the 5th annual memorial fishing event to honor Lou Schisler. The weather was unusually cool for mid-June but the fishing was red hot! The largest fish was caught by Steve Gallo of Rouse/Chamberlin. His 31 inch (13.5 lb) striper was the largest fish the charter fleet had seen in weeks.

Williamson Carpenter and Mason Best in Nation
(8/07) Ten of Williamson’s finest qualified to participate in the 2007 Skills USA National competition last month and again, they brought back the gold. The group was elated when carpenter Michael Eroh 0W8 and mason Mike Wagner 0W7 took 1st Place in each of their divisions.
