The Importance of Matching Gifts to Williamson  

Among the many benefits offered by employers today are Matching Gift Programs.  In order to remain consistent with employees’ interests, many companies match donations made to reputable charities by their employees, and sometimes even spouses.  This means they will send Williamson an amount equal to and sometimes greater than your donation to the School.  Each company follows different procedures relating to the amount they will match, but most require the employee to complete paperwork provided by the employer’s personnel office, submit it to the School with the donation to be verified, and return it for processing.  

This task seems minimal when you realize the significant role Matching Gifts play in Williamson’s Annual Giving Program.  In this School year alone, Williamson has received more than $43,000 in Matching Gifts and Pledges matching donations from forty-one donors.
