First Ever Scholarship Endowed In Horticulture Studies
Scott Simpson Scholarship Fund In Horticultural Studies Established

A student scholarship has been endowed in perpetuity for the first time in Williamson history with the establishment of the Scott Simpson Scholarship Fund in Horticultural Studies. Dr. John M. Templeton Jr., president of the John Templeton Foundation, endowed the scholarship as a birthday gift to his son-in-law, Scott Simpson, a horticulturist. Scott, who graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in agricultural business, is the owner of Advanced Horticultural Solutions and president of Legend Landscapes.

Pictured from left to right are: Jennifer and Scott Simpson; Colin S. Kraus 0W8, the first student to benefit from this gift; Donald W. Jackson, director of horticulture, landscaping, and turf management; and President Paul A. Reid.
