A Message On Giving From Rob Grayston 9W5

As a grateful alumnus of The Williamson Free School and a member of its first graduating horticulture class, I’ve experienced first-hand many transformations of the School into what it is today.  After building on Isaiah Williamson’s vision for more than a century, the School has achieved the perfect balance of tradition and innovation incorporating today’s industry standards into its time-honored curriculum.  One constant in this equation is philanthropy.

After more than a decade since my graduation, I credit Williamson with giving me the personal and professional tools to become founder of a successful landscaping firm; the owner of rental properties throughout Pennsylvania; Floor Manager at the prestigious Philadelphia Flower Show and, most importantly, father of seven-year-old Robert III.

As you well know, Williamson was founded as a result of the selfless generosity of one man who saw the potential in “deserving young men” to achieve their personal and professional goals through a values-based education in the trades. Just as when I was a student, the School must rely upon the generosity of alumni, friends, corporations and foundations which provides forty percent of the cost to “keep the doors open” each year -- giving other young men the same opportunity we were given.

For this reason, I choose to give back each year by supporting the Annual Giving Program.  You see, annual gifts, at any level, are critical to continuing Williamson’s time-tested mission of providing a free quality trade education to deserving young men.

Please take a moment to consider a gift to Williamson today.  Thank you for your support and have a wonderful holiday!

Sincerely,

Rob Grayston 9W5
