Campus Revitalization Kicks Off Campaign
With Opening Of Strine Learning Center

In the spirit of Isaiah Williamson, who founded the Williamson School because he wanted to leave something behind that would benefit people long after he was gone, the Legacy Campaign’s goal is to ensure that Mr. Williamson’s school is here 100 years from now still benefiting “deserving young men.”

The Campaign, which has been operating in its “silent” phase for over three years, has, to date, raised over $18 million of its $25 million goal.

One proceed of the Campaign is already benefiting students -- the Walter Strine Learning Center, constructed with a gift of $3 million from Walter M. Strine Sr. 2W9. This magnificent new building also received support from: Trustee Richard and Jeanette Clemens, who provided the furnishings in the classrooms and offices in the Clemens Academic Wing; the McLean Contributionship, which helped make the building possible; the Connelly Foundation, which provided the Center’s technology; and Heather Del Grande, widow of Stephen Del Grande 9W2, who provided the library’s study area, now called the Stephen A. Del Grande 9W2 Study Area.
