Williamson Thanks Trustees, Faculty & Staff for 100% Commitment

Williamson is proud to announce 100% support from its Board of Trustees to The Legacy Campaign.  This active group of community and industry leaders is a strong representation of Williamson’s alumni, friend and corporate communities alike.  The Trustees’ commitment to the Campaign came early with the tireless efforts of the group in developing the long-range strategic plan that confirmed the necessity for funding in each of the three main campaign objective areas.

With 100% commitment from the Board, the next step in the School’s Legacy Campaign was to enlist the support of the School’s faculty and staff.  Commitment from the Williamson family is critical to the success of the Campaign, not only because it funds an important need, but because it illustrates a dedication like no other to the School’s unique mission.

Now in its public phase, The Legacy Campaign is continually progressing.  Illustrating strong participation from within will ensure greater success in securing gifts and grants from corporations, foundations and major donors.

A committee of faculty and staff was established and worked to organize an exciting Campaign.  Throughout the month-long campaign which took place early in 2007, names were drawn for weekly prizes which included restaurant gift certificates and School memorabilia.

The sincere commitment of Williamson’s faculty and staff is evidenced in its success with 100% of the School’s full-time faculty and staff lending support to the Legacy Campaign.  A total of 62 donors have pledged nearly $50,000 – almost $10,000 more than the initial goal of $40,000 – to The Strine Learning Center, Endowment, and Annual Giving.

The faculty and staff committee consisted of Gail Dragich, Librarian; Dennis Johnson, Business and Economics Instructor; Greg Lindemuth, Chief Financial Officer; Michele Minicozzi, Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Events; and Ken Nelson, Director of Construction Technology.  Advancement Office direction and support was provided by Sylvia Bastani, Director of Development and Donna Rentz, Administrative Assistant.
