Areas of Giving
Annual Giving
is the core fund raising program at The Williamson School that promotes
both restricted and unrestricted (to be used where needed most) support
to be used in the current fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). It is
these funds that make it possible for Williamson to operate within its
budget in any given year. Annual gifts come in all sizes, but their
chief characteristic is that they are made every year as School budgets
are dependent on this income. Click here for more information.
Endowment Support
is the most critical for the School. Current endowments are subject
to fluctuations in the financial markets, and though they are managed
with the utmost efficiency, they are not large enough to provide for
every aspect of The Williamson School’s operation. Increasing
endowment is one of the Schools highest priorities. A substantial
endowment ensures greater flexibility in meeting the needs of the school
during fluctuations in the economy. Alumni and friends are encouraged
to give to endowment only after their commitment to Annual Giving.
Alumni and friends may designate giving to support endowment for:
- Scholarship
- Building Endowment
- Faculty endowment
Capital Giving
supports major projects and equipment purchases that provide much needed
upgrades and improvements to The Williamson School’s infrastructure.
Like endowment support, one should consider a capital gift only after
they have met their annual support commitment. Some capital projects
that have benefited from this kind of support are:
- Restall Athletic Center
- Lipp Education Center Building
- Smith Cottage Renovation
- Townsend Cottage Renovation
