Steve Greco pitched 5 solid innings to pick up the win while freshman Zach Tansey, fresh off an outstanding performance as a starter on Williamson’s USCAA national championship basketball team, pitched 2 outstanding innings in relief to get the save as the Mechanics pulled a major upset in the 2nd game allowing head coach Doug Thompson to pick up his 1st win in a Williamson uniform. It also was the first time Williamson has defeated a team from Union in baseball. [close] |

Freshman Tom Moore pitched a solid game in the nightcap to pick up his first collegiate victory. Zach Tansey led the way on offense with 3 hits while Joe Greenya scored 3 times. A last inning rally fell short for Williamson in the opener as they fell to the Patriots. On the day, Williamson set a school record with 16 stolen bases. The split leaves the Mechanics with a 2-4 overall record, 1-3 in the ESSL. [close] |

The Mechanics blew a lead late in game #1 and then lost it in extra innings, wasting a solid outing by Justin Sidelck on the mound. In the 2nd game, Alex Bradley had a home run and 2 doubles but the Mechanics ran out of pitching and the Chargers took advantage of that fact. Williamson falls to 4-7 on the year. [close] |

Justin Sidleck pitched a no-hitter through 5 innings before being lifted to save his arm for the ESBL play-offs, and a home run by Alex Bradley propelled the Mechanics to the win in the first game. Williamson trailed 4-0 in the 2nd game before mounting a furious comeback, led by Brian Lake’s dramatic 3-run homerun in the 5th inning to put the Mechanics in front to stay as they moved to 6-7 overall on the year. Steve Greco pitched a solid game for Williamson as he picked up the win before giving way to Zach Tansey who notched the save. Tansey actually saved the first game as well. [close] |

Justin Sidleck pitched a gem in Game 1 but it was not enough as Lancaster Bible College scored an unearned run late and held on for the win. Josh Hughes had 2 hits, including an RBI double, to lead the offense. In Game #2, Williamson broke out their bats as Joe Greenya slammed 2 home runs and Ed Tumelty added a solo shot to help lead the way for the Mechanics and force a 3rd game. Zach Tansey picked up the win while Mike Smith added the save. In Game 3. Tom Moore pitched a solid game but the offense could only muster 4 hits and it was not enough as Williamson lost the ESBL finals to Lancaster Bible College for the 2nd straight year.
