Alex Bradley had a home run, went 3-4 and drove in 5 runs to lead the Mechanics to their 1st victory of the year in the opener. Zach Tansey picked up the win on the mound with Andrew Abrams shutting down LCU in closing things out on the mound.
In the 2nd game, Williamson rallied to take a 7-6 lead heading into the final inning before Lincoln Christian exploded for 5 runs and then closed things out to earn the split. Brian Lake had 3 hits and a home run to lead Williamson on the day offensively. [close] |

Pat West homered in both games, including a grand slam in the opener, and Ed Tumelty, Mike Baselice and Ken Clark also homered in the opening game to lead Williamson to the victory in game 1. Andrew Abrams picked up the win as he hurled a complete game. In the nightcap, the Mechanics moved quickly to a 6-1 lead but had to hang on as the Patriots mounted a pick comeback that fell just short. Mike Baselice got the win and Ken Clark was able to come on in relief and shut things down to earn the save. After starting the year 0-6, Williamson has now managed to win 7 out of their last 8 games. [close] |

A dramatic 4 run rally in the bottom of the 7th, capped off by a 3-run walk off homerun doomed the Mechanics in the opener. Leading by a score of 6-4 heading into the bottom of the 6th in the 2nd game, Williamson once again surrendered the lead and the Chargers held on in the 7th to come away with the sweep. [close] |

It was a big day for the Mechanics as their offense, pitching and fielding all came together to help them sweep past the Crusaders and claim their first ESBL championship since 2007.
Mike Baselice pitched 5 strong innings in the opener striking out 7 and allowing just 4 hits to lead the way on the mound. Alex Bradley cranked a 3-run homerun to break a close game open for Williamson. In the nightcap, freshman Andrew Abrams went the distance on the mound and Williamson used a 6 run 3rd inning to take the lead and never look back. Bradley, Pat West and Brian Lake all hit homeruns for the Mechanics as they closed out their season winning 9 out of their last 12 games. [close] |
